Royal Visits
Royal protocol can be a sensitive and complex issue. We know the customs and traditions that make all the difference to a successful Royal visit.
ACES have handled several such occasions, including HRH The Prince of Wales visiting the Penny Brohn Cancer Care unit in Bristol.
HRH The Prince of Wales, who is Patron of Penny Brohn Cancer Care, carried out the official opening ceremony of the £12m private centre which was founded by breast cancer patient Penny Brohn in 1980.
Prince Charles spent 90 minutes visiting the centre, which included a full tour of the facilities on offer as well as meeting the centre’s staff and a number of patients who have experienced the variety of complementary therapies.
The Royal party then moved into a large marquee on the lawn of the centre, where 250 guests were gathered for a drinks reception. HRH Prince Charles made a speech, and his discreet departure was then effortlessly stage-managed, leaving the guests to enjoy the remainder of the day at the venue.
“Thank you so much for all your help with the arrangements. We are lucky to have you and it is a great pleasure working with you at all times”.
Chris Head, Chief Executive, Penny Brohn Cancer Care
