An Intimate Corporate Christmas Indulgence

A Christmas party with elegance and attention to detail - specially sourced reception drinks, wonderfully prepared canapes and a great music playlist.

Thick-cut salmon skewers, mint and pea tortillas and babaganoush on chicory - all a huge hit with the guests Salmon or chicken Chinese canape spoons were served as guests enjoyed their vintage cider champagne The popular main courses were chicken and chorizo stew or a lamb and apricot tagine, served with cous cous. Guests ate their fill of the delicious food whilst the DJ played a medley of chill-out and 'live lounge' style songs The venue allowed for guests to mingle in comfort

A Very Special ‘Anthesis of Corporate’ Event

The marquee sited on the Waterfront in Bristol, the clear gable-end allowed guests a magnificent view of the Harbour

Organic and Rainforest Alliance certified coffee was served to guests Exhibitors at the conference brought in beautiful displays and stands, including this treehouse model Guests and exhibitors got the chance to really interact and mingle during the event, something the client was very keen on The guests were seated for the welcoming address by the company director The marquee was dramatically changed for the evening awards ceremony Flambees were positioned either side of the marquee entrance for that extra special touch Charcuterie plates and sparkling cider were served, instead of canapes and champagne, for a really original reception Guests loved the 'feast' style of the evening dinner - platters and serving dishes were laid along tables for a relaxed feel One of the special structures brought onto the site - the geodome - complete with woodburning stove The ceilidh at the end of the night got all the guests on their feet

A Dancefloor Underneath the Stars

Following an afternoon conference, ACES transformed the marquee into a village square on a starry night.

Samba girls danced the guests into the marquee The colourful costumes brought the carnival atmosphere to the event Food stalls served a selection of fish, meats, breads and salads with food theatre provided by flambeéd bananas. The décor in the marquee was rich and colourful with carefully chosen lighting highlighting the garlands across the 'night sky' The guests were seated for their sumptuous 'fiesta' dinner Capoeira performances from local students during dessert gave an extra energy to the marquee The tealights throughout the marquee added extra atmosphere and light The lighting for the disco was top of the range The DJ got the party going Sing-a-long to the classics on the stage The event certainly had that fiesta vibe

The ‘Secret’ Beach Party

300 guests were given the ultimate playground in the form of a private beach party with a steel band, limbo dancers and fire performers.

The catering marquees being built Specially designed fire drums were lit prior to guests arrival The view of the beach from the top of the cliff prior to guests arriving Lifeguards and beach marshalls were on hand throughout the night With the sun setting guests were relaxing on beach mats and in deck chairs The steel band greeted guests with soft melodies as they arrived onto the beach Guests were entertained by 'glow' performers throughout sunset Fire drums gave guests warmth and light, whilst continuing the theme of the event All of our bar staff were getting involved in the party atmosphere too The storm lanterns added to the beauty of the setting Limbo dancers got the guests dancing The fire performers really got the crowd going The guests could not believe the skill of the fire spinners The pyrotechnical display was an incredible sight to behold

Cornish Corporate Celebration

A corporate celebration with a Cornish twist; pasties, cider shots and a 'Scrumpy Band' welcome delegates before their conference.

Specially designed flags to welcome delegates Brass band to give some 'pomp' to the proceedings A relaxed BBQ service meant guests had more chances to mingle The decks provided the perfect space for guests to chill out Fruit platters and dipping doughnuts were distributed after the BBQ Waitresses served dessert items to guests The Cornish Scrumpy Band provided some proper West Country entertainment The party went on until early in the morning, the guests did not want to stop

Prom on the Close at Clifton College

ACES were asked to provide the VIP marquee and basic equipment for the Prom on the Close event in July 2009 at Clifton College.

The marquee was clearwalled to allow guests a good view of the grounds The beautiful backdrop for Prom on the Close The cricket pitches provided a brilliantly flat site for the marquee ACES provided the furniture, and liased with Clifton for the required timing to lay their own linen, cutlery and centrepieces

Downs School Summer Ball

Downs School in Bristol installed a marquee for their 2009 Summer Ball, which was then used for Speech Day.

The Downs School is a wonderful venue for larger events The inside of the marquee looks rather bare The groundstaff were working as hard as us to get things ready for the evening As it was such a warm evening ACES made sure all the clearwalls were fully opened so guests could dine in comfort With linings, furniture, decorations and linen the party was ready to begin The view to the garden also provided a good breeze for the guests The band arrived for their soundchecking, happy with their stage and dancefloor set-up

Winter Wedding in the Snow

The theme of ‘Emerging Spring’ was given unexpected poignancy when the ACES team arrived on site in February to find a foot of snow had appeared overnight.

The marquee site was hidden under a foot of snow We cleared the area, and added drainage to cope with the melting snow The marquee structure goes up At the reception within the main hall of the house A magical dining hall for 200 guests The centrepieces for the tables focused on pillar candles and twisted branches Pewter plates, mirrored table tops and solid silver cutlery gave the marquee an extra lift Guests dined at the mirrored table tops under the starcloth twinkling above Tiers of cheese for a modern twist on the standard cheese table The chill-out area was revealed to guests with a dramatic curtain drop, heart shaped cushions gave a true romantic feel The house after the guests, marquees and everything inside had gone - no trace left behind!

500 staff from AXA were wowed at a Cruise Ship-themed ball, set in a 2,000 sq. metre indoor football pitch. The whole event was set up in just one working day.

The building entrance was marked by two large gas flambées The whole event was 'on brand', from the lighting to the blueberry 'Burleigh Bellini' cocktail

Garden Champagne Reception

Glorious weather and a beautiful garden provided a gorgeous champagne reception venue for this wedding, followed by a sumptuous feast in the marquee

ACES sourced the identical cars used for by wedding party for the day Areas of the garden were used by the wedding party for photographs and relaxation, whilst enjoying the champagne! The outdoor tables and chairs were a great hit in the hot weather Circular bars, which glowed from within during the evening, gave the marquee two very different looks The tables were sumptuously decorated The waiters were on hand for guests throughout the day ACES ensured the PA system allowed for every hilarious word of the speeches to be crystal clear

Circus-themed Summer Ball for Sift

Technology company Sift opted for a Circus-themed Summer Ball, complete with stilt-walker, fire juggler with flaming clubs, and waiting staff dressed as clowns.

Sift's corporate orange featured throughout. Guests enjoyed a real taste of the circus throughout the evening.

Premiership Footballer’s Garden Wedding

ACES provided a glamorous garden ceremony and a Moroccan-themed evening celebration for the ultimate fairytale wedding.

Candles suspended from the ceiling gave the guests the added wow-factor Sumptuous table linen and richly coloured flower displays gave a real feeling of luxury The Moroccan themed chill-out area gave guests a chance to relax Floral and greenery arches lead guests in and out of the venue All the waiters and bar-staff being briefed before guests arrived The huppa was a gorgeous addition to the ceremony The marquee made good use of the garden's beauty spots ACES had cover on standby in case the weather took a turn for the worse! Grapes and candlesticks, which ACES had melted artistically especially for the reception

Classic Corporate Event with a Twist

The company wanted to unveil their new office centrepiece, a large granite block with their logo masterfully cut in, with a classic corporate style conference.

Crisp linen gave the room a lift Discreet floral arrangements softened the marquee The impressive podium and lecturn gave a clear focal point

This provided a real challenge; trees and flowerbeds restricted the marquee shape. All the structures needed to fit exactly, and true to form ACES managed it.

The Premium Paris Wedding

ACES spent four months in Paris, responsible for the project management, build and installation of the site at Parc St.Cloud.

The main frame for the marquee starts to go up The main frame for the marquee is fixed into place Once the marquee PVC was secured the work on the front fascia began The machinery required to build the set was a huge management task Getting the lighting just right required precision detail The set design for this large party required lots of organisation The Eiffel Tower viewed from the event site A stunning piece of bespoke set for the party The starcloth, set and flowers started to come together after months of planning One of the bars, serving fresh fruit and with wonderful floral displays Guests were treated to some very special entertainment Kylie Minogue was secured as the lead performer a week before the event by the clients, ACES re-designed the staging accordingly The staging and lighting design for the Bollywood show prior to dinner were built on-site for the star performers The set design was intricate, with these circular stage pieces revolving and entwining to reveal the Bollywood performers The high-definition screen, showing a large chandelier here, gave the show a real wow-factor The opulence of the evening was a real hit with guests The guests enjoyed a remarkable event throughout the night and into the early hours

Stately Home House Warming

ACES recreated the magnificent house’s central atrium within the marquee so all 550 guests could have a great party without damaging the 'real' house.

The structures for this event were all built onsite and painstakingly put together by skilled craftsmen The central mosaic dancefloor, made of bronze and glass, was copied from the 'real' one inside the house. The amount of timber, scaffolding and marquee equipment used was so large for this build ACES had to pool supplier's resources The view of the house from the 'fake' house The huge circular columns provided a breaktaking surround to the mosaic dancefloor The clear PVC walls of the marquee gave the impression of glass The marquees were all covered in camouflaged netting to take away the white glare of such a large set of structures The impressive stone-effect entrance steps into the marquee The lighting in the main dining area was soft and flickering, to emulate candles throughout the room

Lilies and Ivory for a Summer Wedding

Lilies, ivory and the outdoors was the event brief for ACES working on this summer wedding.

A large, stripped piece of driftwood was put to good use as a hatstand The linings of the marquee were chosen so the colour would reflect the lilies perfectly The centrepieces were provided by a local florist, using local flowers Bamboo flares lit the way to the main marquee
The clear domed ceiling, intelligent lighting and real fruit bearing trees gave guests the feel of being in an Orangery

Sudeley Castle Party

1,000 guests arrived through an enchanted woodland walk, dined in a members only styled lounge and viewed fireworks from the clear domed dancefloor.

The central feature of water cascading down coloured glass steps was an impressive focal point Floral displays were central to the 'Orangery' feel of the evening The use of eye-popping colour throughout the event made it feel fresh and vibrant

With twinkling lights and indoor trees this was a sumptuous setting to remember. The New York themed nightclub area was a real hit too.

The Bride and Groom wanted an 'indoor garden' theme to their wedding reception marquee, ACES worked on a simple theming with flowers to give them a perfect day.

Futuristic Corporate Celebration

The company's 25-year anniversary was given the ACES treatment in truly lavish style, with futuristic bar and clear-ceiling dancefloor for viewing fireworks.

Dramatic flower displays added to the beautiful dining room Enormous gilded urns filled with fresh flowers were great focal points The white bars and gleaming cocktail glasses gave guests a real impact when they walked in White cubed poufs and mirrored tables were perfect for the chillout areas The mirror balls hanging from the clear ceiling added to the height of the marquee Flower arrangements were very important to this client, so each display fitted in perfectly with the theme The bar was a hit with the guests, especially with the cocktails and champagne flowing freely! The dining area was like walking through a perfectly manicured woodland The glasswear selection also had a hint of colour to mirror the dining room's floral displays
