Prince Charles opens £12m Clinic

Royal protocol can be a sensitive and complex issue, and properly knowing the customs and traditions makes all the difference to a Royal visit running smoothly.

ACES have handled State occasions many times, including a recent Royal visit to the Penny Brohn Cancer Care unit.

HRH The Prince of Wales, who is Patron of the Centre, carried out the official opening ceremony of the £12m private centre, which was founded by breast cancer patient Penny Brohn in 1980.

Prince Charles spent 90 minutes visiting the centre, which included a full tour of the facilities on offer, as well as meeting many of the key staff and some patients who have experienced the variety of complementary therapies.

The royal party then moved to a large marquee on the lawns, where 250 guests were gathered for a drinks reception. HRH Prince Charles made a speech, and his discreet departure was then effortlessly stage-managed, leaving the guests to enjoy the remainder of the day at the venue.
